Blue Devil Weekend 2009 - Entrepreneurship Schedule

Hi everyone,

For those of you joining us for Blue Devil Weekend, welcome!  This year, BDW is April 3-5th.

There are a ton of events going on, so for those of you interested in Entrepreneurship at Duke and at Fuqua, I wanted to highlight the events that might be of interest to you.

Office Hours 
  • 3:00 - 4:00pm - Office Hours - a chance to informally meet us and some students. Location: Kirby Reading Room (Lilly Classroom as backup).  We'll have office hours jointly with the Center for the Advancement of Social Entrepreneurship and the Center for Entrepreneurship and Innovation
Entrepreneurship Workshop (by invite only)
  • 4:00 - 6:15pm - Entrepreneurship Workshop (Lilly Classroom) for Program for Entrepreneurs applicants.  A Case Study for students wanting to apply for our Program. By invite only (for more info, contact Howie Rhee at hwr2@duke.edu)
The Duke MBA Activities Fair - Tables for the EVCC and Program for Entrepreneurs
  • 7:30 ish - The Duke MBA Activities Fair - Location: Kirby Winter Gardens - We'll have two tables - one for the  EVCC (our fantastic student club) and one for Program for Entrepreneurs - a chance to meet students

Academic Preview - Brief overview of entrepreneurship curriculum with Ronnie Chatterji.  

Career Panels - Two sessions, same career panel each time
They will be preceded by a general CMC overview in Geneen from 1:15pm - 1:45pm.
  • 1:50 - 2:45pm - Entrepreneurship Career Panel 1 (a mix of students and alums)
  • 2:50 - 3:45pm - Entrepreneurship Career Panel 2 (a mix of students and alums)


Open Houses - Two sessions, same presentation each time
Several sessions from various centers running concurrently, two slots for students to choose from.
  • 4:35 - 5:15pm - Center for Entrepreneurship and Innovation - Open House slot 1 (Leaman Classroom) - informal discussions and a presentation
  • 5:20 - 6:00pm - Center for Entrepreneurship and Innovation - Open House slot 2 (Leaman Classroom) - informal discussions and a presentation
